Former Presidents Clinton (Special Envoy to Haiti) and Bush are spearheading a major fundraising campaign for Haiti and have established a website explaining ongoing relief efforts where individuals can also donate. Visit http://clintonbushhaitifund.org/.
Terrific Boston-based/connected groups involved in relief efforts include:
- Partners in Health: www.pih.org has 20 years of experience on the ground in Haiti providing health care. They are helping with relief efforts and are looking for donations and contributions of supplies.
- Hearts with Haiti: www.heartswithhaiti.org has Boston connections and supports three orphanages in Haiti.
National and international relief organizations
- Medecins Sans Frontiers (Doctors without Borders ): www.msf.org is establishing mobile surgical units throughout Haiti and needs support
- American Red Cross: www.redcross.org is looking for immediate donations of funds, supplies and blood.
