Most of the work at Cradles to Crayons is accomplished by volunteers. That’s one reason why Charity Navigator—an independent group that rates charities on both their organization capacity and efficiency—recently awarded us a four-star rating: their highest ranking. From time to time, we do have staff openings, which are posted here. We also have specialized volunteer positions, also listed here. We are happy to work with individuals or groups to set up formal internships, although certain times of year are very busy for us, and staff time is limited in those periods, so you should plan ahead.

Community Outreach Intern The goal of the intern is to build organizational capacity by increasing community collections and researching and identifying Community Leaders. He or she should have excellent research and communication skills. The internship lasts six months, during which the intern will research potential volunteer leaders, contact members of the community, and maintain a database of research, communications, and leads.
