The Giving Girls, a group of third and fourth graders from Burlington, MA, raised $500 by selling baked goods outside of their local supermarket. Read more about them here.

Some fundraising ideas for adults:

  • Select a theme – virtual baby shower, back to school, keeping a child warm in the winter, birthday party – and invite friends to a party at your home around that theme. We will be your partner in making the event a success, by helping with invitation ideas, equating dollar donations to number of children helped, providing a speaker, etc.
  • Host a pot luck or soup night and invite guests to make a financial contribution in lieu of a host/ess gift
  • Collect donations through your Book Club
  • Invite an independent rep to host a party at your home and split the proceeds.
  • Still need more ideas? No problem! Here’s a whole host of creative ideas for raising funds and goods in your neighborhood.

Some ideas for kids:

  • Have a bake sale
  • Make/sell jewelry
  • Host a lemonade stand
